Kathmandu. The stock market closed lower on Thursday, the first day of the English New Year. Today, the NEPSE index decreased by 12.83 points to close at 2,620.92 points. Likewise, the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 2.43 points, while the Float Index decreased by 0.84 points and the Sensitive Float Index decreased by 0.88 points.

Along with the stock market, the trading volume has also decreased. Shares worth Rs 5.13 billion were traded in the market on Wednesday.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of one sub-group have fallen. The index of the remaining 12 sub-groups decreased. On this day, the indices of other sub-groups increased slightly. The trade sub-group index decreased the most by 1.09 percent on the day.

Shares of Win Nepal Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Ltd have posted a positive circuit today. The share price of the microfinance company rose by Rs 134.60 to Rs 1,481.10 on the day. Similarly, the share price of SY Panel Nepal has increased by more than 9 percent.

The unit price of Global IME Samruddha Yojana 2 has decreased by 10 percent.
