Under package 1, the construction of the dam and other structures is being carried out by Songda Kalika JV.TAG_OPEN_div_30 Bhandari said that 57 percent progress has been made in this package. Construction of hill erosion, access road, temporary dam and two diversion tunnels have been completed for the construction of the main dam.

The total cost of the project (including interest for transmission line, rural electrification and construction period) has been agreed by ADB with $150 million, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) with $184 million, European Investment Bank with $85 million and Nepal government/Nepal Electricity Authority with $86 million as financial arrangement.TAG_OPEN_div_18
