Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) Selection Committee Bhatta resigns

Kathmandu. Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission Dr. Gunakar Bhatta has resigned from the selection committee of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON).

As per the provision, a member of the Planning Commission will be the coordinator for the appointment of the chairperson. According to the same provision, Bhatta was the coordinator of the committee. He has resigned from the post of coordinator. His elder brother Dr. Gopal Bhatta has applied for the post of chairman of the board.

Former Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank and economist Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta has said that he resigned due to conflict of interest in the selection after applying for the post.
