Kathmandu. The BP Highway in Kavrepalanchowk-Sindhuli and the Hilsa-Simkot road section of Humla have been obstructed for vehicular movement due to floods and road construction.

Issuing a notice, Nepal Police Headquarters has banned vehicular movement along the BP Highway in Sindhuli via Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katunjebesi of Kavrepalanchowk in view of possible flooding risk. According to the police, all vehicles plying on the road from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am on May 14 have been closed until further notice.

Similarly, the Hilsa-Simkot road section has also been closed due to road widening works at Chyaduk area of Namkha rural municipality-2 in Humla. Vehicular movement along the road section has been halted from May 14 to June 14 due to the risk of stones and soil falling from above the road from Chyaduk Hotel to Chyachhra, police said.
