Former Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal’s suggestion in upcoming budget: Implement the recommendations of the commission formed under my chairmanship

Kathmandu. Outgoing Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has suggested the government to implement the report of the commission prepared under his chairmanship for the budget for the coming fiscal year.

In a discussion held at the Ministry of Finance today, he has given 7 different suggestions for the budget of the coming fiscal year. Former Minister Khanal has urged the government to implement the report of the High-Level Economic Reform Taskforce. The commission formed under the chairmanship of Khanal had submitted its report to the government in April 2081. Khanal has suggested to implement the report.

He also suggested not to allocate budget to retail and fragmented projects that have not been prepared and not to impose tax on electricity.

Similarly, former Finance Minister Shankar Koirala has also suggested the government to follow the old financial reports including Rameshwor Khanal. He suggested opening the Nini area for electricity trade and removing the forest problem for the construction of projects.

He also suggested the government to make efforts to establish new industries and industrial zones, to forward the hedging policy, to take forward the work that was carried out during the tenure of Janardan Sharma and to think about how practical it is to revive old industries. He also suggested that the government should start a new textile industry.
