Kathmandu. The state’s share holdings in public enterprises have reached Rs 437.80 billion.
In the fiscal year 2081/82, the paid-up capital of the public enterprises increased by 2.38 percent to Rs 437.80 billion compared to the previous year 2080/81.
The government’s shareholding decreased by 0.29 percentage points to 91.68 percent compared to the previous review period, while the share of other corporations and private sector increased to 8.32 percent.
Regionally, the government has 100 per cent ownership in the social sector, 99.54 per cent in the service sector, 99.81 per cent in the business sector, 98.84 per cent in the public utility sector and 95.67 per cent in the industrial sector. The government holds the lowest shareholding of 64.41 percent in the public sector companies, followed by 35.59 percent of other corporations and private companies.
