Kathmandu. The cost of sending their children to private schools and treating them in private hospitals has increased.
Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle has said that this provision has been made while allocating the budget for the coming fiscal year.
The government has made a provision in the budget to impose an equity fee at a minimum rate in the education and health services provided by the private sector to help in the construction of education and health infrastructure and expansion of services in the remote areas.
The burden of this will fall on those who teach and treat in the private sector.
