Kathmandu. President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Anjan Shrestha, has said that the budget presented by the government is investment and capital market-friendly. Commenting on the budget, Chairman Shrestha said that the initiatives to formulate laws related to loan recovery, policy provisions to attract investment and programs to encourage industrial sector are positive.

Stating that problems have been seen in the operation of business due to lack of inter-agency coordination, he urged the government to pay attention to this. According to him, the arrangement of recognizing capital tax as the final tax, restructuring of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) and the government’s commitment to operate derivative market would help in the development of capital market.

According to Shrestha, these provisions will not only increase the confidence of the investors but also positively benefit the overall stock market.
