Pokhara Metropolitan City gets the highest budget, how much for others?

. Pokhara Metropolitan City has been allocated the highest budget for the next fiscal year. Pokhara has received the highest grant from the federal government among the metropolitan cities.

Six metropolitan cities of the country have received a grant of Rs 12 billion from the federal government.TAG_OPEN_div_26 According to the details of inter-governmental financial transfer for the fiscal year 2083/84 released by the Ministry of Finance, these metropolises have received Rs 11.71 billion in grants.

According to the government’s details, Pokhara has received Rs 3.18 billion in grants.TAG_OPEN_div_24 This includes equalization grant of Rs 496.7 million, conditional grant of Rs 2.61 billion, supplementary grant of Rs 55 million and special grant of Rs 18.2 million.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has received Rs 2.TAG_OPEN_div_22 27 billion in grants. Out of this, Rs 1.60 billion is conditional grant and Rs 677 million is equalization grant. Kathmandu has not received special and complementary grants.

Chitwan’s Bharatpur Metropolitan City has received Rs 2.TAG_OPEN_div_20 05 billion in grant. Out of this, Rs 1.61 billion has been provided conditional and 396.5 million equalization grants. Similarly, Rs 2.5 crore has been received as supplementary and Rs 1.95 crore as special grant.

Birgunj Metropolitan City has received a grant of Rs 1.98 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_18 Out of this, Rs 1.60 billion has been provided conditional grant, Rs 353.5 million equalization grant, Rs 40 lakh special grant and Rs 16.7 million supplementary grant.

Lalitpur Metropolitan City has received a grant of Rs 1.1 TAG_OPEN_div_16 4 billion. Out of this, Rs 760 million has been provided conditional grant and Rs 38.59 crore equalization grant. Lalitpur, however, has not received special and supplementary grants.

Biratnagar Metropolitan City has received a grant of Rs 1.TAG_OPEN_div_14 07 billion. Out of this, Rs 73.85 crore has been provided conditional grant and equalization grant of Rs 33.43 crore. Biratnagar has also not received special and supplementary grants.
