Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Mohan Kumar Dangi has been elected the Chair of Independent Power Producers’ Association, Nepal (IPPAN).
According to Article 15 (12) of the amended statute, Dangi became the senior vice-president.
The 24th annual general meeting of IPPAN elected Uttam Blon Lama as the senior vice-president. He was elected unopposed after Balaram Khatiwada withdrew his candidacy.
Likewise, Uttar Kumar Shrestha, Narendra Ballav Panta, Bikram Bista, Susan Karmacharya and Him Prasad Pathak have been elected unopposed.
Teknath Acharya (TN Acharya) was elected the general secretary and Kabita Pokharel was elected the deputy general secretary.
Abhigya Malla, Esha Shrestha, Kubermani Nepal, Bijay Mohan Bhattarai and Suman Kumari Joshi have been elected unopposed.
The election was held only for the post of treasurer. Shankar Basyal of the Bhlon panel was elected with 267 votes. His nearest rival Mithun Chakraborty Prasad Poudel got 82 votes.
Likewise, Anup Acharya, Kadam KC, Jagadish Shiwakoti, Jagat Bahadur Pokharel, Narayan Kandel, Milan Khadka and Barna Lamichhane were elected unopposed under the open category.
