Capital expenditure disappointing: 32.53 per cent in 11 months, 76.47 per cent in 1 month

Kathmandu. In the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, the capital expenditure targeted for infrastructure and development has been Rs 132.66 billion.

According to the daily budgetary details of the Financial Comptroller General’s Office, 32.53 per cent of the total target was spent in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year.

The government is compelled to spend 76.47 per cent of the capital expenditure in a month.

The government has allocated Rs 407.88 billion for capital expenditure in the current fiscal year. With only one month left for the end of the current fiscal year, the capital expenditure has not been sufficient.

In the current fiscal year, 76.91 per cent of the target of spending Rs 1180.98 billion has been spent in the first 11 months. The government had set a target of spending Rs 375.24 billion for financial management in the fiscal year but Rs 305.71 billion has been spent so far.
