Gandaki Province presents budget of around Rs 33 billion

Kathmandu. The Gandaki Province government has presented a budget of Rs 32.99 billion for the fiscal year 2083/84.

Minister for Economic Affairs Jeet Bahadur Sherchan presented the budget in the Province Assembly today. Out of the current budget, Rs 12.72 billion or 38.56 per cent of the total allocation.

Similarly, the capital expenditure is Rs 20.02 billion or 60.68 per cent of the total allocation. Similarly, Rs 250 million or 0.76 percent of the total allocation is for financial management.

In the coming fiscal year, the government will get Rs 7.84 billion from fiscal equalization grant, Rs 10.16 billion from revenue sharing and Rs 514.8 billion from royalty.

Similarly, Rs 3.93 billion will be provided as conditional grant, Rs 554.6 million as supplementary grant and Rs 395.4 million as special grant.

The government has stated that it will have Rs 5.84 billion in cash reserves from internal revenue mobilization and Rs 2 billion after the implementation of the annual programme for the current fiscal year. Internal loans will be mobilized to meet the deficit of Rs 1.75 billion.
