Newly elected IPPAN President Dangi assumes office

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Newly elected Chairman of Independent Power Producers’ Association of Nepal (IPPAN) Mohan Kumar Dangi has pledged to enhance the company’s prestige in the coming days.

Taking charge today, he pledged to address the problems of energy entrepreneurs during his tenure. He pledged to implement IPPAN Vision 2029 during his tenure.

He said that to fulfill these commitments, a list will be prepared and it will be approved by the working committee and taken to the implementation stage.

Lately, there has been talk of working with a little cooperation and discussion, and in the meantime, there is also talk of scrapping the 1300 MW projects.

Recalling that the promoters had to face various problems even after the completion of the project from the survey to the completion of the construction, they said that they would take initiative to resolve these problems. He also mentioned that the issue of solar will also be taken along.

He said that the government is going to bring the Electricity Act and will take initiatives to make it promoter-friendly. He said that there is a two-thirds majority government now and he will work in the interest of promoters in collaboration with the government.
