Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has withdrawn the case relating to organized crime against Rastriya Swatantra Party (RJP) President Rabi Lamichhane.

A single bench of District Court Judge Atmadev Joshi issued the order to remove the charge of organized crime against Lamichhane and other defendants as per Clause 36 of the Civil Criminal Procedure Code, 2074. The court has ordered to keep the case of cooperative fraud upheld.

The District Government Attorney’s Office, Kathmandu had filed an application for amendment of charge sheet against the cooperatives fraud and organized crime on the basis of complaint filed by Suman Khanal and others. Hearing the same petition, the court allowed the withdrawal of the charge related to organized crime.
