Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Prabhat Tamang said that Bagmati Province’s economic growth rate is estimated to be 5.40 per cent against the estimated 3.85 per cent in the current fiscal year.

Bagmati Province is expected to reach 36.7 percent of the total GDP of the country in the fiscal year 2082/83 BS.

The per capita income of Bagmati Province is estimated to be 2,644 US Dollars while the per capita income of Bagmati Province is estimated to be 1,535 US Dollars. According to the government’s budget for the fiscal year 2083/04, Bagmati Province has only 12.59 percent and 7.0 percent multidimensional poverty while absolute poverty is 20.27 percent and multidimensional poverty is 17.4 percent.
