Kathmandu. Lalitpur Metropolitan City has presented a budget of Rs 7.48 billion for the fiscal year 2083-84.

A total of Rs 3.25 billion has been allocated for recurrent expenditure for the coming fiscal year. According to KMC, the increase in recurrent expenditure is due to the salary hike of employees, incentive allowance, social security allowance and other administrative obligations.

Likewise, Rs 4.23 billion has been allocated for capital expenditure. The capital expenditure has decreased by about Rs 270 million compared to the previous year due to the reduction in the budget received from the federal and state governments under the capital head.
