Kathmandu. Newly appointed Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta, has taken oath of office at the Ministry of Finance and has assumed office in Sebon today.

He succeeded 47 candidates who had applied for the post of chairman of the board. He has been appointed to the board and has been appointed as a priest.

He reached the board and offered prayers through the priest along with incense, lamps and naivedya.

He also expressed his commitment to work honestly for the development of capital market as per the plan of the government and the Finance Minister.

He pledged to fully utilize his knowledge, experience and skills in the interest of market investors and support the government’s economic growth goals.

He said that the government will continuously work for the development of the market by implementing the studies and recommendations made at different times for the improvement of the capital market.
