A division bench of Justices Binod Sharma and Sunil Kumar Pokharel on Tuesday issued the order to bring a copy of the certified copy of the writ petition filed at the Supreme Court demanding the cancellation of Kandel’s appointment to the post of Attorney General.TAG_OPEN_div_10
The order reads, “The Office of the Attorney General should bring a certified copy of the file along with the decision of the Government of Nepal regarding the appointment of the Attorney General in 2082-12-22 BS and the records of Dr Kandel traveling to the UK from Nepal from 2015 to 2024 and submit it as per the rules.”TAG_OPEN_div_8 ”
Advocates Shiraj Baral, Madhav Kumar Basnet and Deepak Raj Joshi had filed separate writ petitions demanding that Kandel’s appointment be annulled.TAG_OPEN_div_6
