Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,157 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. Through this, Rs 21,40,546 revenue has been deposited in the state exchequer.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 82 people were taken for drinking, 101 for ride-sharing and 105 for breaching the traffic lights and 117 for speeding.
Similarly, action taken for flouting the traffic rules is 77 for flouting lane discipline, 61 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 22 for driving black-glass vehicles, 54 for one-way driving and 1,538 for flouting other vehicle rules.
