Kathmandu. The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Manoj Kumar Jha, assistant manager of Salt Trading Corporation.

According to the CIAA, a case has been filed against Jha at the Special Court after he was found to have entered the service by submitting fake academic certificates.

Jha had obtained BSc Registration No. 64/94 from Magadh University, Bodh Gaya in 1998 and produced a mark sheet of SH 3643, Immigration Certificate, Transfer Certificate, Provisional Certificate and other fake and fake educational certificates.

According to the commission, he had taken the appointment to the post of Chief Assistant Chemist of the Salt Trading Corporation in 2064 BS.

Jha has been charged with imprisonment and fine as per Section 16 (1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.
