5 new industries added in Dharan Industrial Zone, 350 million domestic investment

Sunsari. KATHMANDU: Five new industries have been added in the Dharan Industrial Zone by scrapping the lease agreement of industries that have been defunct for long.
With the addition of new industries, domestic investment worth about TAG_OPEN_div_40 Rs 350 million has been received. Jeeb Narayan Banjade, chief of the office of Dharan Industrial Zone, said that 350 people will get direct employment once these industries come into full operation.
He said that the Industrial Area Management Limited has canceled the lease agreement of the industries that have been occupying the land for a long time by completing the legal process and adding new industries.TAG_OPEN_div_38
The newly TAG_OPEN_div_36 added industries are Preeti Valve & Fitting Industries, GD Steel Industries, Siddhi Vinayak Cottage Industries, JR Ventures and Surya Diamond Industries.
Banjade said that the lease agreement of Surya Diamond Industries is in the process of final approval from the central office of Industrial Area Management Limited.TAG_OPEN_div_34 According to him, the lease agreement of Nepal Low Network, Shubham Water Industries, Janaki Products, Family Utensil Industries and Kamana Multiford Industries has been canceled.
He said, “The agreement with the new industry has been made after valuing the assets of the defunct industries and inviting public offerings as per the company’s bylaws and completing the process of lease transfer.”TAG_OPEN_div_32 ”
Preeti Valve and Fitting Industries Pvt. Ltd. will produce water meters and fitting materials, GD Steel Industries Pvt. Ltd. and JR Ventures Pvt. Ltd. will produce construction materials, Siddhi Binayak Cottage Industries will produce food and animal feed and Surya Diamond Industries will produce various types of utensils.TAG_OPEN_div_30
Banjade said that the agreement with new industries has been made with the objective of substituting import, increasing revenue and making the local economy dynamic by giving priority to production-oriented industries.TAG_OPEN_div_28 According to him, there is a possibility of exporting some goods as well as fulfilling the demand of domestic market after the operation of the industry.

} The Dharan Industrial Zone, which was established on December 16, 2029 BS and came into operation since December 1, 2032, is located in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-8, Tinkune. Spread over 202 ropanis of land, 143 ropanis and 14 ana of land has been leased out while more than 55 ropanis of land has been used for utility services.
Currently TAG_OPEN_div_22, there are 35 industries in the industrial zone. Among them, 30 industries are in operation while five are in the final stage of construction. The industries provide employment to 1,000 people, including 800 men and 200 women. Banjade said that the private sector has invested more than Rs 2 billion while the government has invested Rs 1.70 billion in the industrial sector.
