National Assembly passes Finance Bill

. KATHMANDU: Today’s meeting of the National Assembly has endorsed the ‘Finance Bill-2083’. The bill will now go back to the House of Representatives. The bill received from the House of Representatives was passed by a majority when it was presented for construction after clause-wise discussions.

In the meeting, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle had presented a proposal that the bill be passed without any suggestion and sent back to the House of Representatives.TAG_OPEN_div_6 Prior to this, he had presented a proposal for clause-wise discussion on the bill.

Participating in the clause-wise discussions, Assembly members Dr Prem Dangal, Samjhana Devkota, Roshani Meche and Somnath Portel urged the government not to add tax to the education and health services.TAG_OPEN_div_4 During the zero hour of the meeting, the members drew the attention of the squatters on the need of safe settlement for the landless squatters.
