Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, 2,066 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. Through this, Rs 18,60,030 revenue has been deposited in the state exchequer.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 65 people were taken for drunken driving, 122 for ride-sharing against the traffic rules, 120 for breaching signal lights and 114 for speeding.
Similarly, action taken for flouting lane discipline, 74 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 103 for parking on the pavement, 89 for one-way driving and 1,237 for violating other traffic rules.
