Kathmandu. The government has blacklisted 10 construction and supply companies. According to a decision made by the Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on July 9, these companies have been blacklisted for a certain period as per Clause 63 (1) of the Public Procurement Act, 2063.
The government has banned Mahadev Khimti Construction Services Pvt Ltd belonging to former chairman of the Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN) Rabi Singh from participating in the public procurement process for 3 years.
Likewise, Papu-Mahadev JV, a joint venture of Rabi Singh’s Mahadev Khimti Construction Service Pvt Ltd and Sumit Rauniyar’s Pappu Construction Pvt Ltd, have been blacklisted for 3 years on the recommendation of the Postal Highway Directorate, Itahari.
Similarly, Shrestha Construction Company (Hetauda) has been blacklisted for 3 years on recommendation of the same directorate.
Global Drugs Suppliers (Dhangadhi) has been blacklisted for 1 year based on the recommendation of Triveni Municipality of Bajura. Likewise, Siddha Sai JV has been blacklisted for one year and 6 months, Lumbini Motors and Pump Industries for one year, Hira Nepali Construction Service (Jumla) for two years, Mayumi Construction for one year and Shubham Construction Service (Gorkha) for two years.
According to the Public Procurement Monitoring Office, the blacklisted companies will not be able to participate in the procurement, contract and construction process of any public agency during the stipulated period.
