Kathmandu. The Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NIKKI) and House of Rajkarnikar jointly organized the Nepal-India Food and Beverage Forum-2026 in Kathmandu. The forum discussed the opportunities for Nepal-India trade, investment and expansion of bilateral cooperation among the stakeholders of food, beverage and hospitality sectors.
The event is being organized as a precursor to the International Nepal-India Food and Beverage Expo to be held in Varanasi, India on September 11-13. On the occasion, Nepali entrepreneurs were urged to participate in the expo so as to expand their access to Indian market.
Kunat Agrawal, Vice President of Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI), said that such programmes would help expand trade network, increase market access and develop cross-border partnerships. Chairman of House of Rajkarnikar, Birendra Rajkarnikar and expert Rajan Sam presented the opportunities, challenges and possible benefits of the Varanasi exhibition.
Hotels, restaurants, catering, food and beverage industries, exporters, distributors and other entrepreneurs participated in the forum. The participants exchanged views on ways to expand trade, enhance market access and strengthen long-term commercial partnership between Nepal and India.
