Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Governor Bishwanath Poudel has clarified that the presence of the Finance Secretary in the board of directors of the Nepal Rastra Bank has not created any hurdles in the functioning of the central bank.

Speaking at a preliminary discussion on the bill designed to amend the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058 organized by the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives at Singha Durbar, Governor Poudel said the presence of the Finance Secretary has made the NRB worse than the difficulty.

“The presence of the Finance Secretary in the Board of Directors of Nepal Rastra Bank has further enhanced the functioning of the NRB. ”

Governor Poudel said that he has found that the NRB has become easier to work and communicate. He said that it has been easier to get the approval of the Government of Nepal in the works of Nepal Rastra Bank.
