Janakpurdham. Out of the complaints related to improper transactions (meter interest), 1,187 complaints have been settled through mediation method so far.

Out of the total 5,257 cases registered, the hearing was held in favour of the victim. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhusudan Neupane of the District Police Office, Dhanusha, 93 cases have been registered at the court.

After the investigation, 30 crore 82 lakh 37 thousand 92 and 27 bigha 8 kattha and 18 dhur land have been returned.

During the investigation, it was found that there was a tendency to keep the cheque up to double or thrice as a small amount was given but a large amount was deposited.

Chief District Officer (CDO) of Dhanusha, Prem Prasad Luitel, said that no action has been initiated on the complaints registered at the District Administration Office as the complaints have not been settled due to lack of human resources.
