Kathmandu. There has been a slight improvement in the stock market. The index increased by 7.90 points to sit at 2,734.63 points.

The sensitive index rose 2.16 points and the float index rose 0.82 points in Friday’s trading.

A total of 1,37,69,000 units of shares worth Rs 6.26 billion of 353 companies were traded in the market.

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 7 sub-groups have increased while the indices of other six sub-groups have fallen.

The banking sub-group index increased by 1.17 percent. The indices of development banks, hotel and tourism, investment, life insurance, microfinance and non-life insurance sub-groups have increased.

On the basis of transaction volume, Reedy Power Company is in the first position with a turnover of Rs 30.93 crore.

On the other hand, the NEPSE index decreased by 1008.93 points to close at 1717.79 points.
