Kathmandu. The government has approved new pay scales for the current fiscal year 2083/84.
The government has increased the salary of employees for the current fiscal year. Accordingly, the meeting of the Council of Ministers approved the new pay scale to be effective from July 17.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the salary of the Chief Secretary and the Chief of Army Staff will be Rs 90,594. Similarly, the Inspector General of Nepal Police, Inspector General of Armed Police Force and secretaries of the Government of Nepal will get Rs 84,576 per month.
As per the new pay scale, office assistants will get Rs 28,984. Similarly, the salary of non-graded employees (Halkara, Postal Officer, Office Helper) has increased to Rs 27,172 and after the grade addition, the salary has increased to Rs 28,984.
Similarly, in the case of teachers working in community schools, the salary of secondary level (first class) has reached Rs 74,958. The minimum salary of primary level teachers has been fixed at Rs 34,426.
With the increase in salary, retired employees will get 10 percent pension.
