Kathmandu. The government has formed a task force comprising experts to study the economic, technical and legal status of the Biratnagar Jute Mill for the resumption of the mill.

A meeting of secretaries of various ministries held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Monday formed the taskforce. The task force formed under the coordination of joint secretary of the corporation at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies will review the physical infrastructure, machinery, assets and liabilities of the mill as well as the previous study and decisions.

The taskforce is expected to submit a report along with possible options for resumption of the resumption and the necessary strategies to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies within a month.
