Kathmandu. In the first month of the current fiscal year 2083/84, commitment of foreign investment worth Rs 3.77 billion has been received for 191 projects.

The Department of Industries has committed to invest in 188 small, 2 medium scale and 1 big project.

According to the Department, the highest commitment of investment has been made in the mineral industry based on cost and in the information technology industry in terms of number of projects.

Similarly, an investment commitment of Rs 20 million has been made for one project in agro-based industries.

Similarly, commitment of Rs 843.2 million has been made in 9 projects of manufacturing industries, Rs 20 million in one project of energy based industries and Rs 682 million in 19 projects of service industries.

Similarly, commitment of Rs 1.63 billion has been received in 33 projects related to tourism and Rs 569.83 million in 128 projects related to information technology.

These projects will provide employment to 1773 people.
