Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has suspended the trading of shares of broker number 93 Beni Securities Pvt Ltd for three working days. NEPSE has taken the action effective from August 17 for not completing the settlement and settlement work within the stipulated time.
Beni Securities had recommended NEPSE for not completing the settlement process within the stipulated timeframe. Based on this recommendation, NEPSE Supervision Section issued a letter on Wednesday informing that the company has been suspended.
NEPSE has suspended Beni Securities for three days as per Securities Trading Operation Bylaw 2075 BS. Investors will not be allowed to buy or sell shares through the broker during the suspension period.
NEPSE has also informed the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), CDS and Clearing Limited and other related branches of the company.
The regulator has taken this action as the regular trading cycle of the market will be affected due to the delay in clearing the amount and securities after the share trading.
