Kathmandu. At a time when the risk of floods, inundation and landslides is increasing in different parts of the country, the Ministry of Home Affairs has urged the people affected by the disaster to call the toll-free number 1234 for rescue and immediate assistance.
The 1234 Disaster Call Centre under the Ministry of Home Affairs is operational 24 hours a day. People affected by floods, inundations, landslides, earthquakes, fires, avalanches, lightning, storms and storms can contact this number for rescue and assistance.
The Home Ministry has urged the general public to call 1234 to inform anyone who is in distress or needs immediate rescue.
The call should clearly inform what the incident took place, where it took place, how many people are estimated to be affected and what kind of assistance is needed immediately. Based on the information received, necessary rescue and assistance will be mobilized in coordination with the concerned authorities, the ministry said.
One timely notification can save someone’s life.
