Kathmandu. It has also been decided that no prior permission is required to mobilize private sector helicopters in relief, rescue and search works. Arrangements have been made to mobilize private helicopters as per the need to make the rescue and search operations more effective and expedited during the disaster.

The NOC has decided to send a tanker with aviation fuel from Kathmandu to Trishuli of Nuwakot for the supply of fuel for helicopters to be mobilized for relief, rescue and search operations.

The provision has been made to increase the use of helicopters in post-disaster rescue and relief operations and to prevent rescue operations from being affected due to shortage of fuel.
