Kathmandu. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has telephoned his Nepalese counterpart Balendra Shah and expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property due to flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed condolences to the Nepalis who lost their lives in the floods and said that the people of India are with the Nepali brothers and sisters in this difficult time.

He also said India was ready to provide all kinds of humanitarian assistance required to Nepal. The Indian team is coordinating closely with the concerned authorities in Nepal to facilitate rescue and relief efforts.

“India has pledged to provide necessary support to Nepal in this hour of crisis,” Modi tweeted.
