Kathmandu. Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Gauri Kumari Yadav and Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal Bin Farhan paid a courtesy call on him.

On the occasion, Minister Yadav drew the attention of the government towards the loss caused by the devastating floods in Rasuwa and appealed to the Saudi government for assistance in rescue and relief work.

Minister Yadav said that this is the biggest disaster since the devastating earthquake of 2072 BS and said that hundreds of people have lost their lives and caused huge physical damage due to floods. Stating that international assistance is needed for immediate rescue, relief and reconstruction of the victims in this difficult time of disaster, he appealed to the Saudi Foreign Minister for humanitarian assistance.

Various matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and economic cooperation were also discussed during the meeting.
