The stock market fell by 1.04 points.

Kathmandu. The stock market fell on Thursday. On Thursday, the NEPSE index fell by 1.04 points to close at 2,557.31 points.

Today, the transaction amount has also decreased along with NEPSE. Shares worth Rs 4.77 billion were traded in the market on the previous trading day, which was Rs 3.78 billion today.TAG_OPEN_div_14

Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 8 sub-groups increased while the indices of 5 sub-groups decreased. The indices of the manufacturing and processing sub-groups increased the most by 1.75 percent. Similarly, the indices of banking, development banks, finance, hotel and tourism, investment, microfinance and business sub-groups increased marginally.TAG_OPEN_div_12

Shares of Sarvottam Paints traded at a positive circuit level for the 11th consecutive trading day. The company’s share price rose by 181.90 paise to Rs 1,394.80 today. Similarly, the share price of Ghorahi Cement Industry rose by more than 8 percent and the share price of Sonapur Minerals and Oil increased by more than 5 percent. The share price of Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company fell the most by 9.45 percent today.TAG_OPEN_div_10

Shivam Cements topped the list on the basis of turnover amount. Shares worth Rs 21.75 crore were traded today. Today, shares of Nepal SBI Bank worth Rs 16.5 crore were traded, while the turnover of Chilime Hydropower Company crossed Rs 16 crore.TAG_OPEN_div_8
