Kathmandu. The Federation of Contractors’ Associations of Nepal (FCAN) has demanded vehicles from its members across the country for the rescue and relief of the people affected by the floods.
Issuing a circular, FNJ General Secretary Shiva Hari Ghimire appealed to all members to provide mini-trucks, pickup trucks and other vehicles to help the flood victims. The statement states that the floods in the Bhotekoshi River have caused unimaginable human and physical loss in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other districts. The Federation has said that it is a common responsibility for all to help from their respective sides in the present situation when the country is in great pain.
The Federation has made it clear that vehicles are needed to immediately supply relief materials in Rasuwa, Nuwakot and other districts most affected by the floods and rescue thousands of flood victims and take them to safer destinations. The members have been requested to immediately provide vehicles like pick-ups and mini-trucks for the humanitarian work.
