Kathmandu. The Board of Directors of Himalayan Bank Limited has appointed former Chief Secretary Dr. Baikuntha Aryal as the Chairman of the bank. Aryal has been appointed as the chairman of the bank. Aryal has been appointed to the post after Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha, who was the chairman of the bank, resigned.

A meeting of the Board of Directors held four days after Shrestha resigned from the post of chairman has decided to appoint Aryal as the chairman. Aryal was already serving as a member of the board of directors of Himalayan Bank.

Aryal, who has long experience in the administrative service of the Government of Nepal, has held various important responsibilities in finance, administration and public management. He has also served as the Chief Secretary of the Government of Nepal.

With the appointment of Aryal to the leadership of the bank, he is expected to use his experience in strategic decisions, corporate governance and managerial reforms.

Shrestha, who was the chairman of the bank, resigned from the board of directors of the bank, after which his resignation was accepted. After this, a new leadership was elected to the vacant post of chairman.
