Kathmandu. Police have arrested a man for posting fake vouchers on social media on the pretext of depositing money in the relief fund for the flood affected people.
Police have arrested Bhagawan Karki, 32, of Gokulganga Rural Municipality-2 in Ramechhap district.
Information Officer of District Police Office, Ramechhap, Police Inspector Kamal Raut, said that Karki had posted fake vouchers on social media claiming that he had donated Rs 1.20 lakh to the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
According to the police, the voucher was made using ChatGPT to make a fake statement.
