Waived fees for sending money to Nepal through City Express

Kathmandu. City Express has decided to completely waive the service charge levied while sending money from different countries of the world to Nepal.

The decision was taken to provide immediate financial assistance to the families affected by the devastating floods in Bhotekoshi of Rasuwa district last Wednesday.

The government has introduced a special facility to enable Nepalis living abroad to send assistance to their families in the difficult time of disaster easily, quickly and with full amount.

KATHMANDU: The government has waived service charge on remittance sent to Nepal from the Gulf countries including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman.

The remittance service will also be available free of charge from Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Australia in the Asia-Pacific region.

Nepalis living in the UK, Romania, Portugal, Malta, Denmark, Croatia, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and France in Europe can also take advantage of this facility. There will be no service charge on sending money from New Zealand to Nepal in the Oceania region.

The free service is also available through City Express and other international channels spread across the globe.

It is expected that this will help Nepalis in many countries to send financial assistance to their families in Nepal and their relatives affected by floods and landslides.

This facility has been implemented with immediate effect. City Express has urged Nepalis living abroad to make maximum use of this service to help their families and affected communities during this difficult time of disaster.
