Kathmandu. At present, there is generally cloudy weather across the country. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the monsoon low pressure trough is slightly north of the average location.

Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at some places of Koshi Province and at a few places of Bagmati Province and Lumbini Province.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, it will be generally cloudy throughout the country today. Moderate rain÷snowfall with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at many places of the mountainous and hilly region of ÷the country today. According to the Meteorological Bulletin, there is a possibility of moderate rain along with thunder÷thunder at many places of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, and at some places of the Tarai region of Madhes and Koshi province.

According to Meteorological Forecasting Division, there are chances of moderate rain along with thunder and lightning at some places of the Tarai region of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Province and at one or two places of Lumbini and Sudurpa÷schim provinces. Heavy rainfall has been predicted at a few places of the mountainous, hilly and hilly regions of Koshi Province and at a few places of Bagmati Province and at one or two places of Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province. Likewise, there are chances of heavy rainfall at one or two places of the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

The Division has urged all concerned to adopt necessary precaution as there is a risk of disasters like mudslide, flood, landslide and soil erosion in the areas prone to heavy rainfall. The Division has urged all concerned to stay updated on the information as daily life as well as agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport could be affected due to the rain.
