KATHMANDU: President of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RPP) Rabi Lamichhane and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Mao Ming held a meeting at the President’s residence in Budhanilnath today.

During the meeting, Ambassador Ming expressed sorrow over the loss caused by the floods in the Bhotekoshi river.

He said that Nepal is with Nepal from search, rescue to reconstruction. He said that China is ready to help Nepal in any way. He said that China has been providing all necessary support including rescue workers and DNA experts after the disaster and it will continue until the need arises.

During the meeting, President Lamichhane expressed gratitude to China for its support during the disaster. Stating that China’s economic and technical support would be important in disaster risk reduction and management in Nepal, he urged for more cooperation in the coming days.
