Kathmandu. On Tuesday, the second trading day of the week, the stock market saw a slight improvement. On Monday, the NEPSE index increased by 9.24 points to close at 2,522.66 points.
Although the NEPSE index has increased today, the transaction volume has decreased. Shares worth Rs 3.64 billion were traded in the market on the previous trading day, which was Rs 2.90 billion today.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 12 sub-groups have increased while the indices of one sub-group have fallen.
Today, the share price of Upper Mailung Khola Hydropower Company has increased by 7.15 percent. Similarly, the unit price of MBL Equity Fund has increased by about 6 percent and the share price of Emerging Nepal has increased by about 5 percent. The share price of Upkar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has fallen the most by 8.48 percent today.
Solu Hydropower is at the top position on the basis of turnover amount. Shares worth Rs 13.82 crore were traded today. Similarly, shares of Shivam Cement worth Rs 13.5 crore were traded today.
