Employees provident fund provides Rs 2.5 crore to flood victims

Kathmandu. The Employees Provident Fund has provided Rs 2.5 crore for the relief and rescue of the people affected by the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers of Rasuwa on August 26. The fund has deposited the amount in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund, Bhupal Baral, Administrator of the Fund Bijay Kumar Shrestha and senior officials of the Fund handed over a cheque of Rs 2.5 crore to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle at a program organized at the Ministry of Finance. On the occasion, Finance Minister Dr. Wagle thanked the Employees Provident Fund family for their support during the disaster.

On the occasion, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fund, Baral said that the Employees Provident Fund has been providing financial support as part of its corporate social responsibility during natural disasters, mega earthquakes and epidemics. He said that as part of this continuity, assistance has been provided to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund for the relief and rescue of the people affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers.

Similarly, Administrator Shrestha of the Fund stressed the need of cooperation and cooperation of all sides for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the affected people in this difficult time of disaster. He also expressed the commitment that the PADT would continue to provide necessary support and cooperation during the time of disaster and national crisis in the coming days as well as under its social responsibility.

The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family members while paying tribute to the people who lost their lives in floods and landslides. It also expects necessary support and cooperation from all sides concerned for the speedy rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the floods.
