Hetauda-Kathmandu road to be operated

Hetauda. The Bagmati Province government has started the process of operating the Bhimphedi-Kogate-Epa-Sisneri road as an alternative route to ease the Hetauda-Kathmandu movement.

The provincial government is preparing to bring into operation the road by repairing and upgrading the road after the landslide at Krishnabhir of Dhading along the Prithvi Highway has increased the need for an alternative road.TAG_OPEN_div_18

Chief Minister Kiran Thapa Magar said the alternative road has been prioritized to minimize problems affecting the Hetauda-Kathmandu movement due to frequent disruptions seen along the main highway.TAG_OPEN_div_16

Chief Minister Thapa, Minister for Physical Infrastructure Bharat Bahadur KC, Ministry Secretary Ishwor Chandra Marhattha and Bhimphedi Rural Municipality Chair Hidamlama had inspected the Bhimphedi-Kogate-Ipa-Sisneri road section on Thursday.TAG_OPEN_div_14

According to Chief Minister Thapa, the state government has allocated budget for the repair and upgrading of the road in the current fiscal year. He said that the state government is preparing to make the road accessible by immediately carrying out necessary repair work after looking at the condition of the road.TAG_OPEN_div_12

With the operation of the road, it is expected that more options will be available for Hetauda-Kathmandu travel and it will be easier to dispatch passengers and vehicles to their destinations through alternative routes when major roads including the Prithvi Highway are obstructed.TAG_OPEN_div_10
