Kathmandu. A two-day training program on stock market organized with the objective of enhancing financial literacy of visually impaired and low-vision youths has concluded.

A total of 21 youths with visual disabilities participated in the program organized by Blind Youth Association Nepal Valley Chapter.

In the program, the participants received basic knowledge about the stock market, as well as the difference between the primary market and the secondary market, and the risks that can be taken while investing in the secondary market. The two-day program was also held by facilitators Shiva Agrawal and Kushal Neupane based on the questions of the participants.

Secretary of Blind Youth Association Nepal Valley Chapter Madan Rokaya said that investing in the share market was not only a big thing but it was more important to adopt fiscal discipline.

Concluding the program, Central President of Blind Youth Association, Shankar Upadhyay expressed his commitment to organize more programs related to share market and financial literacy in the coming days keeping in mind the needs of the participants.

He also said that the Association of Blind Youth Association was committed to work continuously as sought and chosen by the visually impaired people.
