Four routes for devotees to visit Pashupatinath temple

Kathmandu. All Haritalika Teej festival is being celebrated. On this occasion, four darshan routes have been arranged for the devotees to visit the Pashupatinath temple.

According to the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT), the first queue goes through Mitrapark-Umakunda-Dakshinamurti-Kailash Badri Narsingh building, through the northern gate of Basukinath, from the northern ramp of Pashupatinath temple and then exiting from the western gate.TAG_OPEN_div_38

} Arrangements have been made for the devotees coming from Pingalasthan, Char Shivalaya-Panchadewal Old Age Home, in front of the big door on the south side, the temporary sky bridge, the small door, Chausath Kotilingeshwor and the south face of the temple.

According to this, there will be five queues outside the temple. After entering the temple premises, it will be divided into eight lines. Arrangements have been made in the main temple premises so that eight devotees can visit at a time. On Monday, on the day of Bhadra Shukla Tritiya, a queue will be arranged for the devotees to enter the Pashupati temple and return after visiting the temple in a maximum of two hours. Normally, security personnel and security personnel will be mobilized so that the devotees can have darshan in half an hour.TAG_OPEN_div_30

} Police personnel in plain clothes have been deployed in the Pashupati area since Saturday in coordination with Nepal Police in view of the Teej festival. Four thousand security personnel will be deployed in the Pashupati area during the fair period. Similarly, 855 volunteers from 24 religious and social organizations will be deployed, said Kedar Man Bhandari, member of the Trust’s Board of Directors and coordinator of the volunteer sub-committee.

The PADT has appealed to the devotees not to carry valuables while visiting the temple keeping in mind the peace and security. It is estimated that at least seven lakh devotees will enter the Pashupati premises and many of them will also come for various purposes. Small children have also been asked not to come to the temple.

Arrangements have been made for parking of vehicles for the devotees coming to visit Pashupatinath at Guheshwori Pari, Sifalchaur, Tilganga Vacant Space, PADT office premises and Metropolitan Traffic Police Division office at Gaushala. Arrangements have been made to park the vehicles with government number plates at the Trust office and the security agencies at the Police Division and other places.

{{TAG_OPEN_div_22} Places have been set aside for the arrangement of shoes and slippers, under Varundhara, Kailashdanda, PADT office, Bhuvaneshwari, under the Ram temple across the Bagmati. Hansamandap, Bankali, Gaushala, Jayabageshwari and Mitrapark have been designated for the performance of dance and devotional music. The Trust has also said that with the help of security personnel and volunteers, the Ring Road in the Pashupati area will not be closed. The PADT has also called on the daily devotees to visit the temple before 6 am on September 12. This call has been made to the male devotees as the queue of women devotees increases after 6 pm.

On the occasion of Teej, all the four gates of Pashupatinath will be opened from 3 am today. Arrangements will be made for the distribution of sandalwood for the devotees at Sano Sadavart Sattal, Tilganga, Umakunda, Jayabageshwari and Gaushala. On the occasion of Haritalika festival, devotees queue up at Pashupatinath and Shiva temples across the country on Monday to worship and pay obeisance.
