Kathmandu. National Child Rights Day is being observed today with the slogan ‘Protecting Childhood: Safeguarding the Future’.
The National Child Rights Day is observed on September 29 every year with an objective to make the civil society and all stakeholders more responsible and accountable to promote child rights in a child-friendly environment.
There is a need to rescue, provide relief and protection to the children who have lost their parents, guardians and guardians due to the loss of lives and property due to the devastating floods in the Trishuli River via Bhotekoshi on August 23.
Ram Bahadur Chand, information officer of the National Child Rights Council, said that the state is busy providing temporary protection and psycho-social counseling services to such children. On this occasion, the council and other organizations have organized programs today.
