Chamber of Commerce-Megapreneurs collaboration launched ‘Entrepreneur Engagement Program’ to support entrepreneurs from startup to expansion

Kathmandu. Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Mega Preneurs have started a collaboration for Nepali entrepreneurs who want to start a new business but cannot operate and expand it sustainably. The ‘Entrepreneur Engagement Program’ has been started between the two organizations with the aim of taking the startup to the expansion stage by connecting them with business structure, expert advice, investment and the market.

The formal collaboration between the Chamber and Brihat Preneurs was announced at a program organized on the occasion of the ‘9th Nepal Land and Housing and Construction Expo-2026’ at Bhrikutimandap. The program has been launched with the concept of ‘From the beginning to the expansion of business in Nepal’.

The speakers participating in the program said that although there is a business idea and potential in Nepal, the lack of structure, guidance and market access to convert it into a viable business is one of the challenges. They said that after starting a business, institutional support is necessary as the risk increases due to lack of proper advice on legal, financial, managerial and market related issues.

The grand preneurs will develop themselves as ‘Urban Lifestyle Venture Studios’ without keeping themselves in the confines of traditional incubators. The concept is to support entrepreneurs from starting a business to expanding their business with clarity, structure and the right direction.

Under the program, the plan has been put forward to support the entrepreneurs in five major areas. In the first phase, the ‘Execution Hub’ will help implement business ideas. Similarly, through the ‘Experts Clinic’, there is a plan to provide expert advice in the field of law, finance, investment and market management.

An ‘Opportunity Access System’ will be developed to connect entrepreneurs with projects, potential partners and market opportunities. The program also aims to provide essential services to entrepreneurs by connecting service providers, including law firms, chartered accountants, branding agencies, and investment analysts, into a single ecosystem. Similarly, it will help in building the necessary business infrastructure to further expand the business limited in the local market and reach the national and international markets.

Urmila Shrestha Pradhan, Vice-President of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and President of Nepal Mahila Chamber, said that entrepreneurship should be seen from the perspective of economic independence. According to her, entrepreneurship creates income opportunities and provides a basis for people to work according to their plans and goals.

Underlining the need to connect Nepali youths and women to entrepreneurship, she expressed the view that creation of new entrepreneurs would contribute to employment opportunities and expansion of economic activities.

Purnima Rajbhandari, director of Broadpreneurs, said that the guidance received at the right time in the business can reduce the potential financial risk. According to him, if the entrepreneurs can start the business at low risk, then the investors and partners will also get returns and this can create value in the economy in the long run.

He said that the collaboration between the nationwide business network of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and the technical and consultancy capacity of large preneurs can connect entrepreneurs with business opportunities. Roshan Bhoyo, coordinator of the Expo Organizing Committee, said that there is also a possibility of new entrepreneurs in the real estate and construction sector. According to him, there is a need to attract youths to the field related to construction, housing and real estate as there are ample opportunities for technology and new business concepts.

Sudarshan Shiwakoti, program manager of Brihat Preneurs, said that different phases of plans have been put forward for the implementation of the program. According to him, a ‘Business Health Checkup’ will be conducted to identify the current status of the business and identify areas for improvement. Similarly, a two-day ‘Business Growth Incubation’ program will be conducted focusing on the capacity and growth plan of the business.

According to the situation of the entrepreneur, the membership plan has been made at three levels: ‘Idea Phase’, ‘Growth Seekers’ and ‘Scale Entrepreneurs’. It aims to provide necessary mentoring and support according to the stage of the business.

The program will not be limited to Kathmandu but will be expanded to five major cities of the country. The organizers have set a target to connect at least 300 entrepreneurs directly in these cities and contribute to the creation of more than 1,000 jobs.

The main basis of this collaboration is that it is not enough to increase the number of new businesses in Nepal but also to make the existing businesses sustainable, systematic and expandable. According to Uttam Jha, advisor of the ninth CG Property Land and Housing and Construction Exhibition, the program aims to connect the youths who want to start a business with the necessary services, consultancy and opportunities from idea to implementation and growth and expansion of existing entrepreneurs.

The event kicked off with the 9th Nepal Land and Housing and Construction Expo-2026 is expected to connect new business concepts especially related to housing, construction and real estate with opportunities.
